Corn Exports Rise Without China

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN – U.S. corn exports are trending higher, but this time, without China leading the way.

Recent USDA data shows South Korea, Spain, Japan, Vietnam, and Colombia are now driving export growth. Combined, they’ve purchased more than 350 million additional bushels compared to last year.

Mexico led gains in 2023/24, but for 2024/25, other countries are stepping up their efforts. China’s purchases remain lower.

According to Agricultural Economic Insights (www.AEI.ag), the growth is promising, but it’s too soon to know how durable these new markets will be.
