There is no expectation that the significant federal support the agricultural industry has received over the past four years will continue in 2022.
Despite the challenges faced by agriculture producers over the past few years, inflation-adjusted net cash farm income is expected to increase nearly 24 percent in 2020.
Inflation-adjusted U.S. net cash farm income, which is defined as gross cash income minus cash expenses, is forecast to increase more than $23 billion this year to $134.1 billion in 2020.
The Federal Reserve released their latest Beige Book and according to the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank, the COVID-19 pandemic continued to weigh on agriculture incomes.
