NASHVILLE, TN – U.S. ethanol exports totaled 173.7 million gallons in June, down 6% from May, but still 30% above year-ago levels, according to new data released August 5. Despite fluctuations in key markets, overall performance remained solid. Canada remained the top buyer, increasing imports by 6% to 64.9 million gallons—its highest volume in six months.
Exports to India jumped 158% to 24.2 million gallons, while the European Union brought in 20.3 million gallons, led by shipments to the Netherlands. Other notable buyers included South Korea (12.6 mg, +16%), the Philippines (12.0 mg, +5%), and Colombia (10.8 mg, -17%). The United Kingdom saw a sharp drop to 11.0 mg (-64%), and Brazil remained absent for the second straight month. Through the first half of 2025, ethanol exports totaled 1.06 billion gallons, up 13% from 2024.
June U.S. distillers grains (DDGS) exports totaled 917,307 metric tons, down slightly from May. Mexico led with 184,379 mt (-11%), followed by South Korea (112,890 mt, +18%), and Vietnam (87,729 mt, -1%). Morocco and Taiwan posted sharp gains. Year-to-date DDGS exports reached 5.42 million mt, down 8% year-over-year.
