WASHINGTON, DC – The USDA has announced a sweeping plan to defend U.S. agriculture from foreign threats as part of its “Make Agriculture Great Again” initiative.

The National Farm Security Action Plan outlines seven priorities, including restrictions on foreign land ownership, protections for agricultural research, and tougher enforcement on nutrition fraud. It also focuses on food supply resilience and infrastructure.

The move follows recent criminal charges involving agroterrorism threats tied to foreign nationals. USDA leaders say the plan ensures American farms, labs, and supply chains remain secure from hostile actors.

The plan is backed by the Departments of Defense, Justice, and Homeland Security.
